Resin Print Cost Estimator

Estimate only — not firmware, a slicer profile or a shop quote. Confirm on a test print.
Resin Print Cost Estimator
Resin is sold by the kilogram or litre; slicers report millilitres. Screens die by the hour. This estimator splits those two costs so a 12-hour bust is not “just 8 ml of resin”.

- Resin cost
- $0.88
- LCD wear
- $0.09
- Total (resin + screen)
- $0.97
- Resin price per ml
- $0.035
Calculation method
Resin cost is printed millilitres times bottle price over bottle millilitres. Screen cost is print hours times replacement price over expected life hours. Total cost is the sum. Volume fields are millilitres; imperial shows US fluid ounces. Currency is not converted — only the volume unit toggles.
Exact formula
Resin cost = volume_ml × (bottle_price / bottle_ml). Screen cost = hours × (screen_price / life_hours). Total = resin + screen. Cost per ml is bottle_price / bottle_ml. Limits: No IPA, gloves, failed prints or electricity. Screen life is the hours you typed, not a warranty.

Failed prints
A 50% success rate doubles resin cost. Track it as extra volume, not optimism.
Mono vs RGB
Faster mono screens mean fewer hours per job, so LCD wear per print can drop even if the panel is more expensive.
Frequently asked questions
My bottle is 1 kg, not 1000 ml.
Convert with specific gravity (see the volume-to-weight tool) or read the ml on the label. 1 kg at SG 1.10 is about 909 ml.
Do I include supports in volume?
Yes if you printed them. Heavy rafts are real millilitres.
Is 2000 h LCD life realistic?
It is a planning default. Cheap RGB panels can die in a few hundred hours. Lower the life to raise screen cost.
What about FEP and IPA?
Not in this model. Add them as a higher bottle price or a separate shop overhead.
